How does someone writing music “criticism” for Slate not only write, but actually post a piece in which Cyndi Lauper’s name is misspelled “Cindy”?!  Is there a way to revoke someone’s pop culture credentials?  Does no one at Slate own a copy of She’s So Unusual?  Granted, Cyndi is only mentioned in passing (as one of the presenters who had the honor of accepting Amy Winehouse’s many awards on her behalf), but come on, the woman has been in show business for thirty years now – give a Catholic school dropout from Queens her props.
