The all-new music and video event, “Gigi’s Gen-X Singalong,” premiered May 3rd, 2008 in NYC. A team of film and video artists of varied backgrounds and aesthetics created a visual accompaniment to the seminal 1985 album The Queen is Dead by the Smiths. Further installments continued to feature well-known and loved albums from the Reagan-Bush I years, screened for a live, participating audience. Though conceived as a love letter to the music Generation X listened to on vinyl and cassette tape, everyone is invited to come, drink, and join the group karaoke party! We never charge admission and we give prizes. What’s not to love?
